  • As long-time Matterport operators ourselves we have been through the early day teething issues and perfected the best methods and uses for the Matterport Cameras. Our team will provide in-person & online support to you year-round, as well as providing an initial consult to get you set up and ready to capture your first tour to perfection.

  • You will need the following:

    • A Pro3 or Pro2 Camera

    • Tripod that can connect to Matterport camera

    • iPad (ideally from the last 5 years, to allow for faster scans)

    • A Matterport account

  • Extensive training isn’t needed to capture your first tour, but to ensure you provide the best end-product possible, we highly recommend you view our quick-start guide

  • Simply search and download ‘Matterport Capture’ in the app store. We recommend using an iPad from the last 5 years that has more than 128gb of storage. The faster your iPad can process the scans, the faster you will be able to capture your tours.

    We have a full walkthrough of best practices when using the Matterport App, which can be accessed once any purchase has been made through Asset3D.

  • Yes! Please contact us to arrange a demo.

  • A typical residential house equates to approximately 50 scans and 450 MB of space.

  • Yes, you can download an indclick hereustry-standard .OBJ file which will contain both the 3D mesh and textures.

  • Yes, you will need to pay a monthly or yearly subscription for your Matterport Account, which will host all of your tours. We will help set you up with a Matterport account upon purchase of a Matterport Camera.

  • You can access BIM files, E57 Point Clouds, CAD and Schematic Floor Plans through your Matterport account once the tour has been uploaded.

    100k points per second, or 1.5 million points per scan

  • The capabilities of the Pro3 are nearly limitless! From real estate, to architecture and engineering. Whatever your goal, the Pro3 will help you achieve it as it allows you to scan large indoor and outdoor spaces, up to 10,000 sqm per hour.

  • Each 360° rotation takes less than 20 seconds. In indoor spaces, it’ll take you about as long to scan with Pro3 as it does with Pro2, because you’ll want to use a similar scan path to ensure a good navigation experience for the visitor to your space. In outdoor and large open spaces the Pro3’s increased range can help you scan a far greater area per hour than you could with Pro2. We recommend that you don't exceed 8m between scans for large, open areas where large space between scans is justified.

Help & Training

  • Mattertags are anchored to specific points throughout the Virtual Tour, where you can add descriptions and multimedia assets such as photo, video and audio files. You can add tags by selecting them from the righthand panel on your tour on the Matterport website.

  • Open the Matterport Capture app on your iOS device

    Scan the space as you normally would

    When finished with your scan, tap the "Upload" icon in the top right

    In the Upload Job window, toggle the Blur Faces switch to the right to enable face blurring, or left to disable face blurring.

    Tap the Upload button

    Please note that this may miss some faces so please double check your scans.

  • The original owner (giver) initiates the transfer from Matterport Cloud (my.matterport.com). Matterport Cloud sends an automated email notifying the intended recipient.

    The recipient logs in using the link in the email. They review details about the space and can accept the transfer.

    Matterport Cloud confirms a completed transfer with the giver.

    Only admins can initiate a transfer (be the giver). However, the recipient can be any collaborator in the organization.
