Revolutionize Your School's Virtual Tours with Interactive Site Maps
Interactive Site Maps (ISM) is a powerful combination of Matterport 3D Virtual Tours, Interactive Maps, and custom content that allows schools to showcase their facilities and programs to prospective families. With ISMs, schools can create an immersive and engaging virtual tour that enables parents and students to explore the campus as if they were there in person.

Add ISM to Your Website
To start using Interactive Site Maps, schools can decide where to place the virtual tour on their website. We suggest three locations: the Home Page, the Book a Tour Page, and either the Enrolments, Campus Map, or Facilities pages. Then, schools can ask their website administrator to add the ISM link to their website with iframe or HTML Link.
Assign Ownership of ISM to Your Admissions/Enrolment Team
Once the ISM is embedded on the school's website, the Admissions/Enrolment Team can take ownership of it and use it to engage with prospective families. They can send the ISM link via email to families from regional, interstate, or overseas, and to families who attend physical school tours. They can also send the virtual tour to no-show families as a way to keep them engaged and follow up with them constructively.
Marketing via Social Media
Posting individual virtual tours on social media is an excellent way to attract likes and shares, which helps to spread the word about the school and its facilities. We suggest schools post one classroom/facility every month so they have great content to share all year. This also allows them to repeat the cycle next year and the year after, ensuring they have fresh content to share regularly.
Pastoral Care
ISMs are not just a marketing tool; they can also be used to support students and families. Children who are starting school for the first time, particularly those in Kindy, Year 1, or Year 7, can feel nervous. Viewing a virtual tour of their classrooms before they start can help familiarize them with their surroundings, which is especially helpful for children with special needs. Teachers in these year groups can send the individual virtual tour to families via SMS, WhatsApp, or email before the class starts at the beginning of the year.
QR Code for Brochures
QR codes are a quick and easy way to take someone from print to digital. Schools can print a QR code on an Avery label and apply it to their existing brochures. They can also add instructions on how to scan the QR code. This allows families to access the virtual tour quickly and easily from their smartphones.
ISM
Interactive Site Maps are an innovative and powerful tool that schools can use to showcase their facilities and programs. By embedding ISM on their website, sending the link to prospective families, and using it to support students and families, schools can leverage the power of virtual tours to engage with their communities. With the ability to add QR codes to brochures and marketing via social media, schools can extend the reach of their virtual tours and ensure they are accessible to everyone.
